I agree. It was clear and concise and calm and reasonable. I think the interview should be required viewing in Universities, schools, Parliament - everywhere.
Please consider posting more often on Substack now. We can retweet that. It’s not the same, of course, but it is still a great platform. I find myself spending more and more time here on Substack than Twitter these days anyway.
Yes. Please do. You were one of the few voices that I trusted to offer criticism not filled with animosity but righteous anger borne from the pain, loss and struggle so many gay men of our age contend with. We lost the generation before us and we're losing the generation after. I don't know how to reverse course from here, but you always gave me hope and were kind and generous with your time whenever I reached out. Looking forward to reading and sharing more of your work. Twitter isn't serious about free speech! Instead, it allows mobs to run amok on its platform silencing ordinary people by trying to get them banned. Many people are banned from Twitter for doing absolutely nothing and it will be its own downfall.
Isn't Twitter an American company and aren't most American companies all about making money? Free speech, who cares, when there's money to be made? (I ask sarcastically) Money is freedom in the US. And I'm American too. It's often a sad, sad country in that regard.
Even my account is being scrutinised now!! Maybe I am building up too many connections with the wrong people. Or maybe I am just becoming more and more enraged by the lies and stupidity outside my echo chamber?
Oh Dennis that's infuriating. I will miss you on there. I reported the "Aitch Wylie" account after the appalling incident at the demonstration but I'm sure nothing will be done. I was so horrified I had to do something. Maybe when Elon Musk beds in things will start to change. I heard he refused to take a seat on the board meaning he didn't approve of their policies- hope that's the case anyway.
Agreed, it's sort of hilarious now, they plainly didn't even read the letter.
Well done on the GB news interview. The clearest explanation I’ve heard - you need a bigger platform Dennis
Absolutely you and Sarah P were brilliant! A bigger platform would be great. Let us know if there is anything we can do....

Me too. There are huge numbers of people who don’t understand

Will do! The gender borg will find out they're not going to shut me up :)
Great!
And, you may want to update your Substack “About” too. Looks like G&L News is now defunct and your Twitter handle is still listed… 😒
A good point!

I think it is better

Apparently, algorithms are speed readers.
Blimey, I joked about Elon being bored cos it’s so long and thoroughly argued - pathetic it clearly wasn’t considered properly. 🤡🤡🤡
Quite right. I'm off to the Free Speech Union event in Edinburgh next week. Joanna Cherry is on board - fantastic news. Scotland needs to fight back..
That is ridiculous, how have they read and processed your appeal properly in that time?
Yeah it's almost like they didn't read the letter hey lol
Speechless............ and it really takes a lot to shut me up!
Surely this is just a bot response? I'm sure you know what you'll be following up with.
Do let us know if there's anything we can do to help. This is utterly farcical.
Even my account is being scrutinised now!! Maybe I am building up too many connections with the wrong people. Or maybe I am just becoming more and more enraged by the lies and stupidity outside my echo chamber?
It would have taken nearly an hour to read your letter carefully. So they didn’t.
They can't have read it though? That's ridiculous.
Clowns. Great show on Sunday though. Swings and roundabouts xx

I don't intend to give this up, it's too funny watching their contempt for freedom of speech, let everyone see it
