Twitter is not serious about Free Speech
An appeal based on a 4,700 word legal letter refused in just over an hour
Update to my Twitter appeal: I submitted my twitter appeal below at 4:25 PM.
At 5:30 PM I received the following:
The timing hardly inspires any confidence that Twitter are serious about freedom of speech of engaging with the numerous points made in the letter. In addition this is the first time I’ve come to know the nature of the allegations against me although you will not the person said to have been targeted is not identified and the underlying rationale for the decision is not set out.
This is a clear example of treating a serious letter with the force of free speech law with utter contempt and anyone watching should be left in no doubt as to how seriously this company actually takes freedom of speech.
Apart from laughing at this self-evidently insufficient consideration of the appeal for the time being, I will of course take further action. Homosexuals are used to being silenced and we’re used to fighting bullies. We’ve had a lifetime of it :)
Agreed, it's sort of hilarious now, they plainly didn't even read the letter.
Well done on the GB news interview. The clearest explanation I’ve heard - you need a bigger platform Dennis
