I couldn't believe how easily people who consider themselves to be right-on and progressive fell in line with supporting sterilising kids with a condition that has a hereditary component. It's like Aktion-T4 but less overt. And "fixing" gay and lesbian teenagers, and kids suffering trauma responses that weren't dealt with properly. Thank you Dennis and Barry and everyone involved in exposing these horrors.

Coming just after Scotland’s mutilator-in-chief ‘stepped down’, perhaps the arrival of this book will make it a little bit easier for all those apologists for this abhorrent practice, & all the cowards who refused to speak out, to start their journey back to sanity.

Thank you Dennis for speaking out on behalf of autistic children. As a parent of an autistic child there is no organisation to go to for support as everywhere has been well and truly captured. Schools and pupils are putting tremendous pressure on children and young people to "come out " in school. Its horrific. Barry is spot on here.

How did it happen? It was a long time coming: over forty years of neoliberalism, Thatcher onwards, then pushed by all the parties, which birthed an extreme hyper-individualism.
Are there criminal offences here?
If not, the damages in civil law are going to be enormous - from OUR National Health Service.

I could feel Barry's sorrow and anger coming straight through my computer screen. These are crimes against humanity.
I disagree with the title to this video. 'more in sorrow than in anger'. He is angry, gloriously so. As am I.
